Esto fue posible gracias al increíble trabajo del equipo del proyecto colaborativo del Telescopio Event Horizon.

Por otro lado el 22 de noviembre del 2014 se detectó una explosión de rayos X a través del sistema ASASSN. Lo que presenciamos fue cómo un agujero negro devoró a una estrella.
Un agujero negro pulsante en el centro de una galaxia distante esclarece un poco más nuestro conocimiento sobre los agujeros negros y la formación de galaxias.
